From Fall Fairs to Holiday Lights: What’s Happening This Weekend on Long Island (Nov 7–9, 2025)

By Dean Miller – Long Island’s First A.I. Certified Real Estate Agent (and part-time craft fair explorer)

Just like that — we’ve officially crossed the line from pumpkin patches to peppermint everything. If your front porch still has a carved jack-o-lantern next to a blow-up snowman, don’t worry... you’re not alone.

November weekends on Long Island are a mix of cozy vibes, early holiday magic, and enough events to make you wish for a second Saturday. So if you’re looking for something fun to do that doesn’t involve raking leaves or stress-shopping online, here’s what’s actually worth leaving the house for this weekend — November 7th through 9th.

Let’s kick things off with a true Long Island holiday tradition: the Christmas Vendor Fair at Eisenhower Park (Field 8). This two-day market (Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM) is filled with handmade gifts, holiday treats, and enough wreaths and scented candles to make your entire house smell like a Hallmark movie. It’s outdoors, it’s free to enter, and it’s the perfect excuse to grab a hot cocoa and pretend you're getting a jump on holiday shopping.

On Friday night, head out east for Fish & Sips at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead. It's an adults-only night featuring wine, craft beer, food tastings, and yes — sharks. Picture sipping a pinot while watching jellyfish glide by. It’s fun, it’s unique, and it’s way better than another night of streaming the same show for the third time.

Saturday gets even busier. Over in Remsenburg, the Artisans Market @ The Academy (11 AM–4 PM) brings together talented local creators in a cozy, historic space. Expect art, handmade goods, and the kind of unique finds that make your friends ask, “Where’d you get that?” It’s the anti-mall shopping experience.

If you’re feeling festive, Tanger Outlets in Deer Park is hosting their Jingle Bell Bash & Tree Lighting starting at 3 PM on Saturday. Picture live music, food trucks, and that first holiday-light glow that makes even the grumpiest teen smile (or at least roll their eyes a little less).

And for all my West Nassau neighbors — swing by St. Thomas the Apostle Church’s Fall Craft Fair in West Hempstead (Saturday, 10 AM–4 PM). It’s packed with vendors, raffle baskets, and enough homemade baked goods to throw your diet off until New Year’s. But hey — calories don’t count if they’re shaped like a gingerbread man, right?

As the island’s first (and only!) A.I. Certified Real Estate Agent, I bring strategy, insight, and a no-pressure approach to help you figure out your next best move.
